- XML solutions: PISE An innovative initiative that provides a user environment that simplifies creation and modification of graphic user interfaces. Currently this project provides XML documents for some 300 tools; each interface can be used to call a particular tool. The PISE environment inspired the interface module we are creating, though we have moved from the more opaque PERL/CGI interpreter to a more well described JAVA architecture. Mobyle is the next generation of PISE.
- Data Warehousing solutions: BioWarehouse, GUS, and Atlas, are ongoing Data Warehouse solutions with ETL tools. Each has its unique advantages.
- Semantic Web Efforts: BioMoby is a community effort to develop auto-discoverble RDF based web services.
